The label is the "identity card" of a packaged water, where information on producers and physico-chemical properties are reported.
Data present in EU labels show a certain homogeneity, in compliance with European directives.
On the contrary different representation criteria are present in extra-European labels. For instance in some extra-EU countries' labels, such as Russia, for each ion interval ranges are given instead of reference values. In other countries, such as Brazil, many brands emphasize, mainly for marketing reasons, the presence of some substances (fluorine), also when they are not present at significant amounts from the health point of view. In some countries (China, Egypt, USA) there is a high presence of purified waters.
